		<description>&lt;p&gt;Salon is pretty mediocre, I have to agree.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I guess for me, it falls into the same camp as the nation magazine - both examine topical issues from a determined perspective.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It has a place, but there must be more - should be more.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But I may just be tired.&lt;/p&gt;

Glenn Greenwald* posts good stuff five days a week, plus Salon hosts Juan Cole, my favorite Middle Eastern expert, and Hoe Conason, whose book, IT CAN HAPPEN HERE, I am laboring over for a book review. Add these lesser stars: Sidney Blumenthal and Gary Kayiya, and I'd say Salon is okay enough.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;*I'll send you Greenwald's post about the myth of defuding the (mis)adventure in Iraq. He's hopping mad at the Democrats.&lt;/p&gt;
