Help Wanted! Orenda Intn’l MYSTERY

orenda.gifOkay, so this is off topic, but I’m very, very curious about a company called ORENDA INTERNATIONAL. Their website is straightforward (www.orendainternational.com), with details about their anti-aging and immune system products. I do know that it’s a direct marketing company and while I’ve no interest in this aspect, I do want to know about the products they offer, as I can find ZERO INFORMATION on the web. Mind you, this is a BILLION dollar company. No Wikipedia entry. No blog entries to speak of. No product reviews. No criticisms. No endorsements. The web has been scrubbed clean somehow of Orenda information.

As it stands, the ONLY SOURCE of information on their products is on the their website. That’s some very, very, very slick marketing–how do they do it? I’ve never seen this achieved before. Can anyone out there clue me in as to how this is possible?

Does this strike anyone else as odd? NOTHING in Google Groups. No references in any medical boards. No web-based entries outside of direct marketing sales info. Yet, they’re selling millions and millions of dollars worth of ingestable product.

Before trying a product, wouldn’t you want to find some info from independent parties? I do. So I need some help. There’s something odd going on here. . .

UPDATE: I’ve received an email from a former Orenda user who tells me that she has discontinued use due to concerns that Orestra is actually Human Growth Hormone (HGH), which is noted for its potential side effects, including the possibility (seen in lab rats) of ACCELERATING the aging process despite initial gains. I’ve queried her as to the source of her concerns, but have yet to hear back. Another site visitor concluded that, as Orenda’s products are not under FDA jurisdiction, they could be marketing HGH under the Orenda brand name. That’s two people with similar concerns within 24 hours of posting. Very interesting. I’m not going to say that Orenda is HGH, as there is no proof of this. However, I would like to know what, exactly, it is!

Oh, their Marketing Director, Kindra McGrane, voted Democrat in 2004. This is the ONLY information I’ve been able to find about the company outside their website.

UPDATE #2: Clearly, no independent studies of Orenda’s ingredients or the longterm effects of their products exist. Taking this product constitutes a roll of the dice, especially given the numerous studies which indicate huge risks are associated with growth hormones. Now, Orenda may be on to something special here, as their product is a ’stimulator’ and may thus avoid the side effects. However, there is no proof of this. The company is owned and run by marketing people, not health experts. Read the comments below. The supporters all spout identical, robotic sales talk. CONCLUSION: AVOID ORENDA until they allow independent testing or until you’ve read up completely on Human Growth Hormones and the associated risks. If you’re willing to then pop a mystery pill, that’s your choice.

I love how, in their description of themselves, they have an old photo of somebody (their dad?) but yet they were formed in 2002.

We have a “god-given right” to enhance our health? HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THAT!

My guess is they used to be called something else, got busted for BEING THE FRAUDS THEY ARE and then reopened under a new name to help us achieve our god-given rights.

These people are crooks…plain and simple.

“AntiAging Serum”. I mean, come on.

Part of me says, “Stop these people”, but another part says, “if you lack those critical thinking skill to see this is fraud, then maybe natural selection is branded you”.

Great, now you’ve got me pissed.

    ;)

    Kirk -

Sorry to get you so angry! I’m not certain whether this company is hot air or something revolutionary. If I thought “Oh, just another b.s. medi-quack scam,” I wouldn’t really care for the exact reason you site at the end of your comment.

However, if there’s something great to this, I’d like to find out more information. As it stands, the ONLY SOURCE of information on their products is on the Orenda website. That’s some very, very, very slick marketing–how do they do it? I’ve never seen that achieved before.

More critically to me is - where do I go for independent analysis of the product contents so I can decide whether or not to purchase??

  3. Kazza31 says on :

Hi there, you probably haven’t found any reviews yet as this company and their products have only just hit the UK this year - they are still virtually unheard of. My personal opinion is that these products will start selling like hotcakes as soon as people take the plunge and start trying them! And once word gets out, there will be plenty of reviews and discussions. I know there aren’t many distributors for Orenda here yet, which is another reason why we haven’t heard much through the net.
I can honestly say, their products are really effective… I know, because I use them. I have been on the O-Tropin spray and the Immune tablets for 5/6 weeks now, and am feeling so well! My sleep patterns have settled down, I have more energy during the day, feel less stressed at work, and feel generally healthier(and I am a person who often suffers the effects of burning the candle at both ends)!

And you, the bloke who obviously got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning… Look again at what you have written. Don’t you feel like a prat after your rant? I would. You clearly have no knowledge whatsoever of this company, haven’t even tried their products. So what gives you the right to slag them off and call them frauds?
In my opinion, if you don’t know anything about the price of bacon, keep yer trap shut as it’s not your place to comment.

To anyone out there who is thinking about trying Orenda… go for it! It’s worked wonders for me. The lady I bought it off (who is acually a qualified medical practitioner), recommended me try it for 3 months, so why not do the same and see if it works for you? They are a safe natural alternative to prescription drugs and I’m all up for promoting that.

    Orenda Fan.

  4. todb says on :

Kazza - There you go! YOU are exactly the kind of person I’ve been talking to here in the States. Full of enthusiasm and passion about a product that has been doing wonders. Which is what lead me in the first place to doing some research before buying (a bit of an investment, after all, but not too bad). Orenda has been selling like mad here in the U.S. for years now, but no mention. Try searching yourself - if you can find something independent of the marketing sites and Orenda, please do let me know! I hope you don’t mistake my questioning for an indictment of a company about which I know nothing and therefore have zero complaints against. I simply want to know more.

Thanks for dropping by. I’m curious - how did you spot this obscure blog link so quickly?

  5. Kazza31 says on :

Todd you’re welcome to drop me a line and I will get any information for you that you require. I am very happy to recommend these products and to help anyone who wants to know more, as I am living proof they work.

  6. Kazza31 says on :

Being honest… I am interested in becoming a distributor for Orenda here in the UK. I’ve tried the products, I love them! Before I get involved, I thought I’d look for reviews from people who are already / have been involved to see what they thought of it as a business plan. The lady I bought my products from says it’s a great company and they really do have their partner’s best interests at heart. She even has one of the co-founder’s personal phone number and he has told her she is welcome to call him anytime she needs advise, guidance, or just a chat. He seems a really top, genuine guy who cares about the people working within the business. So I’m doing a bit of digging for further reassurance first, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to go ahead.
I’ll see if I can find any more info for you and post you the links if I have any luck!

  7. todb says on :

Thanks, Kazza31. Let me know what you find. I am curious, how did you come upon my post about Orenda so quickly? I find this very interesting.

  8. KirkT says on :

The fact that there is no independent data should be enough to stay away. The fact that it has labels all over its site that removes itself from the FDA should be enough. The fact that they sell ‘AntiAging Serums’ should be enough. Generalized statements about how it makes you “feel”, on their site should be enough.

Best case: they are just vitamins

Now I’m on a mission: I’ll get the info to prove my point.

If I’m wrong, I’ll give you all a free bottle of my famous “Krazy Kirk’s Life Saving Lung Mist” - full of my patented anti-dihydrogen oxide. Did you know thousands of people die each year simply by breathing in dihydrogen oxide? It’s true. Fact: it’s destroyed entire populations of people. STOP THIS HAZARD NOW, buy my product.

  10. kazza31 says on :

Hi there, yes would be interesting to find that lady’s source if you can…

This is the science I have discovered internally through my contact who is already involved in the business…. Orenda is not actually HGH, however one of their products is an HGH-stimulant ( the O-Tropin spray).
All of it’s ingredients are natural plant-based, there are no potentially harming steroids or artificial hormones.
It is designed to stimulate the piturity gland to naturally raise it’s own HGH levels, to the maximum level that’s physically possible. And that is the amount our bodies produced at the age of 20 (peak HGH production age).
It has an effect of “anti-ageing” as your body then adjusts to this youthful HGH level and thinks it’s returning to it’s early 20s!
As far as I’m aware, people in the States have been taking this for 5 years and not had any ill effects. I’m not sure if this has been properly scientifically proved through official health organiziations, however I beleive it is a safe natural product to use (I have even shown it to my doctor who says it appears harmless), and I would not certainly not take something I felt would be potentially harming to my health.

  11. Don says on :

I find these postings very interesting. People are either curious to try something new or they are not. Its all good. I can tell you that I have been on the Orenda products for almost 4 years now and my life is so much better–no more body pain at all. You will NOT find another product anything like this on the market–I can guarantee because I have searched ( and lots of physicians). The only reason I made a business out of this is becaue literally everyone who knows me, knows the chronic pain I had for 6 years and simply wanted what I found–the company is like a breath of fresh air—they “walk the talk”–can’t find any claims on the website? Well, then go to the FDA website and see what happens to the companies that do who are not considered “drugs”. And there IS alot if ind, scientific studies to back these products.

  12. KirkT says on :

Hey, they obviously don’t need proof as to the benefits of the product, so why should somebody need proof for concerns?

All you have to do is say, “I feel like it has harmful long-term effects” and that is just as valid as saying, “I feel like it makes me feel better”.

  13. Vail says on :

I’ve been using the Orenda products for over 4 years now and my health just keeps getting better. Their O-Tropin is an amino acid string to prompt your body to secrete it’s own HGH. This way your own biofeedback immune system regulates how much you need. The reason it is so effective is the patented delivery system that gets the amino acid message to the anterior pituitary where it’s delivered intact. I don’t miss the upper respiratory infections I used to get regularly. And it’s great to feel younger, and to know I am back in ‘maintenance’ mode, replacing old cells with new healthy ones. Orenda Rocks!

  14. KirkT says on :

    So, it’s a transcription factor? PIT-1 maybe?

  15. KirkT says on :

Growth hormone excess: (acromegaly and pituitary gigantism)

The most common disease of GH excess is a pituitary tumor comprised of somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary. These somatotroph adenomas are benign and grow slowly, gradually producing more and more GH. For years, the principal clinical problems are those of GH excess. Eventually the adenoma may become large enough to cause headaches, impair vision by pressure on the optic nerves, or cause deficiency of other pituitary hormones by displacement.

Prolonged GH excess thickens the bones of the jaw, fingers and toes. Resulting heaviness of the jaw and increased thickness of digits is referred to as acromegaly. Accompanying problems can include pressure on nerves (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome), muscle weakness, insulin resistance or even a rare form of type 2 diabetes, and reduced sexual function.

GH-secreting tumors are typically recognized in the 5th decade of life. It is extremely rare for such a tumor to occur in childhood, but when it does the excessive GH can cause excessive growth, traditionally referred to as pituitary gigantism.

Surgical removal is the usual treatment for GH-producing tumors. In some circumstances focused radiation or a GH antagonist such as bromocriptine or octreotide may be employed to shrink the tumor or block function.

But, it will make you feel better. So, it MUST work.

  16. Don says on :

I do alot of research before I take anything–the great thing about the O-Tropin is that it does not override the own body’s feedback loop–it just optimizes the body’s own secretion of GH (and many of the other vital hormones coming from the pituitary). I am not a fan of injecting anything–and any product that requires “cycling” does interfere with the body. Almost 4 years on this program–cannot believe how much better my health is–and it is obvious–as I see some of my friends slowing down, tired and gaining weight–so glad I do not have to live feeling like that anymore.

  17. todb says on :

    Have to chime in here.

Don, you say you do a lot of research before you take anything. That is EXACTLY what I’m after! Can you tell me where you did your research on O-Tropin? A link to some independent studies? Where did you find your info?

  18. michael says on :

I have been using Orenda now for six months, and every woman that I sleep with has produced a baby from it! And I sleep with a lot of women.

So a big warning, increased virility means more children!

Take care before you also have to make child payments for 26 babies.

    Michael

  19. Don says on :

What Orenda product are you using? I want to make sure I stay away from that one!

  20. Ronald says on :

I found this post, doing the same thing, trying to find out more information on Orenda. I have friend trying to get me to try some of their vitamins and stuff. It is bizzare you can’t find anything out about the company or the products, other than on their website. That set off warning bells in my mind. Please post any follow ups if you find anything more.

  21. Ronald says on :

To those of you posting replies who use Orenda, where did you do your research on the products? I’m not talking about the brochures produced by Orenda.

  22. DON says on :

For all of you who want scientific research, you can get it directly from the website http://www.orendainternational.com/content.asp?page_id=173
This will give you links to places like PubMed–these ingredients and formulations are so off the charts compared to what is currently available on the market–try them and you will be happy you did.

  23. todb says on :

    Don -

Thanks for the link. While I appreciate your help, there are two things I need to mention at this point.

    1. Those studies are merely studies on Growth Hormones, not Orenda products. Other studies on GH show very definite risks of longterm side effects after short term gains. I’m looking for independent scientific analysis of Orenda’s ingredients. I am NOT willing to harm myself taking something that will make me feel good for the a year or three but leave me with irreversible damage in my later years.

    2. Read the Orenda supporter comments. They all sound almost identical. It’s clear that those who chime in are reading from sales brochures/regurgitating what they’ve been told.

I’m not looking for the pitch. I’ve heard the pitch. It all sounds great. Sign me up. . . but show me the facts first! Why is that so damned hard?

  24. DON says on :

Not sure exactly where you are looking–but what I am referring you to are several links directly on PubMed. They are research sitings on several of the ingredients in the O-Tropin Spray. This is a sample of some of the research–the other side is that I work with several physicians who have actually tested markers before and after 2-3 months periods. the uniqueness is in the delivery system–and not to mention the Immune product. Hey, not here to debate you–just know how I feel (even after 3 years)–and others. Good luck!

    Don -

Again, all great info similar to what I\’ve found when researching either direct HGH or stimulated (though the former shows greater risks which is likely why Orenda goes with the latter). Yet, none of these specifically mention Orenda products. No, they shouldn\’t as these are studies on particular compounds, et cetera. Yet, there should be something, somewhere from a credible, impartial source that breaks down the products or at least discusses the claims. I\’d be happy with a \”no absolute proof that these \’work\’ but there is no harm in taking them\” as, well, the proof is in the pudding, right? You either feel better or you don\’t.

No debate. I\’m just mystified at the lack of unbiased analyses. I have several friends who take the products, mind you. I\’m not anti-Orenda, just hyper-vigilant about what I ingest. Were I not interested in the first place, I wouldn\’t have posted this. When I find something I like, I get behind it. I\’m a mighty proponent, and a vocal one. . .but I always need convincing. I\’m not a \’take it on good faith\’ kind of guy. Well, except for that time in Manila … but that\’s a sordid tale.

  27. Forrest says on :

I found the following article which refers to 3 independent studies of the O-Tropin product, which have been found to increase HGH levels.

    http://www.healthandvitality4life.co.uk/Hippocrates%20O-Tropin%20Review.pdf

The ingredients of O-Tropin are listed here:

    http://www.orendainternational.com/pdf/otropin.pdf

I am not associated with Orenda, nor have I ever used their products. I just did a little research because a friend mentioned it.

  28. Lauren says on :

I agree I want to get long term results/side effects, but before I took O-tropin spray I had growths all over my hands that had been there for years and nothing could get ride of them but surgury which I didn’t want scares left either. One week of taking O-tropin the growths disappeared leaving behind no sign they were ever there! Is alone was enough to keep me on it for life. I’ve also lost 10 lbs and the list goes on. Still I want to know more long term facts. I’m not taking the dietary supplement as a way to stay young, but a way to stay healthy. As for their advertising how it makes you “feel” is all any company can say that’s not FDA approved, and just because it doesn’t have approval doesn’t mean it’s bad for you some how.

  29. Tod Brilliant says on :

    Lauren,

Happy to hear that it worked for you. Likely a fantastic product! Soon as I see an independent analysis (not paid for by parent co), I may well hop on board. So far, not so good….as for the ‘miracle weight loss’ medication…that’s all hokum and Orenda knows it. Hell, take a look at the founders - do THEY look healthy? Lastly, I’ve a sneaking suspicion I figured out how Orenda keeps critics off the web. I can’t comment on it, as I’m working on doing some cyber-sleuthing pertaining to a recent attack on this site. Stay tuned!

One more thing…to any friends of mine who take/use/sell Orenda, don’t take it personally. It’s a product, not a way of life. I’m not attacking you, nor deriding your choices.

  30. Don says on :

Great info. Thats the great thing about living in a free country. People get to express their opinions. Like a good school, restaurant, doctor…etc. Not one thing will do everything for everyone. When I find a product and/or service that sounds interesting, I do my own research compare it with available science (when applicable), see if it makes sense to me and the critical part is actually trying it, so I can actually form an opinion from more than just one side. In this case, there are wonderful products and companies out there that help a lot of people. Thats the best part of it all. I love hearing about new innovative products, whatever they are. Thanks for everyone’s comments!

  31. Lauren says on :

    Lauren again,
By the way the reason I found this site was I was looking for a doctor who knows of the Orendas product O-tropin. I need a new Dr. and wanted one that knows something about this who can encourage or discourage me from taking it based on monitoring me and knowledge he, (preferably she) has on it. Thus if anyone out there can recommend a Dr. in the 60015 zip code area, please respond back with the Dr.’s name and number. Thank you
On the sceptic side, my first fear was realizing the company is a pyramid company, I always wonder, if the products are so good why can’t they be sold like regular items. While many of those products are good the real deal is that just the work-aholic crazy sales people make all the money at the top while the billions of others actually lose money trying to sell and are forever on the bottom until they drop out and the next sucker joins in. So like the first comments suggested it seems the company is more about money than product, I still think the product has done great things for me, though I still wonder what harm could it possibly be doing as well!

  32. debbie says on :

I just recently found out about Orenda .
I read a book i ordered form amazon called ” Naturally Raising Your HGH Levels”
By Dr Dicken Weatherby ( who is a “naturopathic physician” not an MD or PhD)

The book never recommends any product but talks about general “secretagogues” that are precursors to producing HGH from the pituitary gland in the brain.
I called the numbers from the book and asked where to get the products and they gave me Orenda and mentioned O-tropin.
I admit i am skeptical , i am a nurse and it sounds a little to good to be true!
If it really worked i think everyone would be on to it.
However, i know i cant afford to get real HGH injections.
So, i thought for $80 i would give it a try. i have been using o-tropin spray for about a week i feel pretty good , but i dont look any younger, and when i ran today my joints still hurt.
so we wil see. Orenda does not seem to have a lot of products, and prior to this i had never heard of them. I will let you know if i suddenly feel 20 again!

    Debbie
