Hooray Tod! You've begun! So glad to see this. I've built the first Squidoo lens on Plan B 2.0 as well, and started a Plan B 2.0 Squidoo group for folks who want to build lenses on the book. Woohoo! We're off and running!

Tod, Thanks for making it easy for people to digest Brown's Plan B in small chunks. I noticed that your post, if linked from my desktop icon, omitted the left hand side of the paragraphs near the bottom of the article. When I linked through the title of the post, the paragraphs were complete.

Re a local issue of erosion, when I was fighting construction of the Warm Springs Dam back in the 70's, I learned that the Dry Creek watershed was the second most eroded watershed in the U.S., due to sheep grazing. The California Dept. of Forestry estimated that Lake Sonoma, created by Warm Springs DAm, would silt up within 50 years. None of this, disclosed in the Environmental Impact Statement (which we citizens had to demand since the Army Corps of Engineers had no intention of producing one), resulted in a change in the minds of our county board of supervisors.

I confess I haven't paid attention to what's been happening since the dam was completed, but I know there are a lot of landslides out there.
