Arcade Fire

the new arcade fire cd is the biggest piece of overblown crap I’ve heard in years. and, yes, I really do like ‘funeral’.

i hate it when bands go ‘portland’ on me and turn into pretentious drama queens.

arcade fire has flamed out. so damned sad!

    I am so not a fan of the new Arcade Fire CD either! It was utterly disappointing when I listened to it and I had high hopes. I do like the new Shins album though.

    Larry - I knew I could pull you out of the woodwork with that one. You know precisely which Portland I mean. The one where everyone still thinks it’s hip to dress like Elliot Smith, only without the crank scars and the dirty hair.

    Barbara - I’ve no issues with the new Shins. But I will say the new Macy Gray record, where she calls herself Karen Dalton … makes me want to disembowel someone.
